Free Energy Check Up

Our free attic energy check up can take up to 2 hours. We will evaluate the energy efficiency of your attic and make recommendations. The check up is unique to each house but typically we will:

1. Use our infrared heat sensing camera to show you hot and cold spots in your attic taken from your living area;
   
   
2. Examine the existing attic insulation for composition, depth, consistency, low spots, bare spots, etc.;
   
   
3. Examine the insulation around the exterior wall top plate connection to the roof taking infrared heat pictures from inside the attic;
   
   
4. Examine all A/C rigid and flex ducting for leaks, separations, length of runs, etc.;
   
   
5. Examine any water piping in the attic for insulation and potential future leaks;
   
   
6. Examine all vents for sufficiency, proper caulking, flashings, etc.;
   
   
7. Examine the scuttle for proper insulation/weatherstripping;
   
   
8. Examine recessed ceiling lights for IC rating and proximity to insulation;
   
   
9. Examine exhaust ducting for leaks and proper installation;
   
   
10. Examine condensate lines and water pans for proper flow;
    
    
11. Examine exposed electrical junction boxes for proper coverage;
    
    
12. Examine visible electrical wiring for proper connections.
